Youth Division 1 – Ballingarry 2 NCW 4 (J. Doherty, O’ Sullivan)
Just two games played at the weekend saw neither team have joy as both the youth on Saturday and the junior B team on Sunday went under. Goals from Jeff Doherty and Tom O’ Sullivan were not enough as NCW collected all three points from their visit. The results leaves Ballingarry waiting for their first win of the season and even at this early stage in their season a league title looks difficult.
On Sunday for the second game in a row Pallaskenry knocked Ballingarry B out of a cup competition. The one-nil reversal ensured that Ballingarrys first ever appearance in the Richard Hogan cup was a disappointment. The only goal came from a corner midway through the second half. Ballingarry had chances too during a close game with Forde and Doyle going close.
